Fourth of July!

Stowaways!

I went to check on and water my little patio garden today and found a couple stowaways!

The second one is huge! Here it is next to my hand for reference:

I wish I knew more about mushrooms and what kind they are and if they are edible! Until I can figure it out though, they will sit undisturbed.

Springtime Greens

 I love springtime. It means lots of green growing things.
This year only have a small balcony on which to grow stuff, so we are going the container gardening route. So far it is going pretty good!

We have tomatoes, sugar snap peas, lettuce, bell peppers and strawberries growing. I am pretty proud of our silly little garden.

Every day Aubrey asks if we can go check the plants and see if there is anything to pick. She has eaten all the strawberries the second they get ripe. And is dieing to pick the two peas we have.

Most of the plants we started from seed, but we bought one cherry tomato plant that produced a ton of tomatoes. Aubrey refuses to eat those so I will have to toss them in some salads or something.
