Pumpkin Chai Mug Cake

I was in the mood for a sweet treat tonight and remembered that my sister said she made a super tasty mug cake out of this mix:

I used the mug cake from Budget Bytes and just subbed in the chai mix for the cocoa powder. While it was cooking I whipped up a quick glaze and dumped some cinnamon in it to make it a "spiced" glaze.

Then drizzled poured it on top.

So yummy that it makes me regret drinking most of the mix! I have just enough mix left for one more. Would eating two in one night really be that bad . . .

Apples!

Yes, the blog post needs that exclamation point. We recently went apple picking at Carter Mountain Orchard and picked 20 LBS!! of apples.

The girls had an absolute blast. It was crazy busy though, we got there shortly after it opened for the day and it was already packed and when we left the line of cars coming in was pretty much at a standstill.

I love the grumpy worm look.

20 lbs of apples yields a lot of apple treats. I made a huge apple crumble, apple cake, and this delicious apple tart.

And then used the rest to make my favorite part of apple picking, fresh homemade applesauce!

I'm not usually much of an apple sauce fan, but homemade is always so good. And gone in about 2 days. lol
