We got hit by some pretty intense weather yesterday afternoon.
I was at my computer and noticed it getting pretty cloudy out and figured it might rain soon. Then it suddenly got dark enough to make the street lights in the parking lot come on and I went to the window and saw a WALL of clouds moving very fast through the sky. I tried to get the video camera out, but the battery was dead.
I didn't get very many pictures of the height of the storm but these ones shows how dark it got, and how much rain was coming down.
I didn't bother taking many pictures because between the amount of rain and wind and hail, I was a bit worried about a tornado. It was crazy for a few minutes and then started calming down.
There was a bit of hail.
And my little patio container garden took a bit of a beating. :(
Just one of the MANY trees down around the neighborhood.
Once it had pretty much stopped the girls thought it was great fun to play in the flower pots that filled up with water.
There are only about 20 mins between the first picture and this one.
It was a bit scary, and very intense, but short. Left us without power for 7 hours, but just a few blocks away they did still have power, so we went out to dinner and called it an early night.
